News from the Front Line of Retirement
I have always introduced myself as Big Kev, yes its because I am a very tall guy with broad shoulders but as the years have past I have come to terms with the fact that I am a larger than life character as well.
In my early years this caused many problems as my size made me naturally stand out from others, I compounded this by my natural chatty individual character. It in fact took me years until my confidence grew to turn this perceived negative into a positive. I spent over 30 years serving as a police officer dealing with the most complex and distressing issues. I enjoyed many roles including investigations and being a being a dog handler. This in itself taught me to never be afraid, confront your fears and follow your instincts, this always serves me well.
On retiring …. And who designed that word then? … I took up my next job of loving life ……grabbing life …… saying YES to anything and everything.
So I went off travelling around the world

Inspired by the TV news reporters always in the midst of the action and with my previous career of being on the front line,, my family messages were titled “ News from the front line of retirement “
I am just a normal guy with a great sense of adventure, wearing my heart on my sleeve literally. I love challenges and embracing life each and every day even though tough times happen to us all.
Wanting to inspire and motivate others so that they can achieve their dreams this led to me writing my book “ News from the front Line of retirement “ documenting some hilarious adventures of what happens when you say YES and then once out of the door life just keeps giving you more.
I have been asked so many times by ex colleagues and friends alike ….. How have you done all that Kev ?….. We all know but how many truthfully do it?
Get up and go out the door …… say YES to life ….. you never know who you meet or what is around the corner
